Dennis has twenty years of experience as a professional speechwriter.

He has worked directly on the staff of Kim Beazley, Simon Crean, Mark Latham, Julia Gillard and Wayne Swan, and through contracts for many other ministers and opposition leaders at the federal and state levels.

His current clients include senior political, business, community, public sector and academic leaders.

He has written extensively on the profession of speech-writing, including his book The art of great speeches (Cambridge University Press 2010) which is a standard text on the subject widely used in universities across the world.
